Months 1-3

Private Pilot

Start with an intensive introduction to the fundamentals of aviation, including aerodynamics, navigation, meteorology, and FAA regulations with in person class or one-on-one ground training
Begin practical flying lessons focusing on basic flight maneuvers, aircraft operations, and emergency procedures on day one
After demonstrating proficiency, you will start solo flights in the local area to build confidence and skills
Prepare for and pass your first FAA Private Pilot knowledge test and the practical checkride with help from your instructor team

Months 4-7

Instrument Rating

Dive into instrument flight rules (IFR), learning about navigation using radio aids, instrument approach procedures, and flight operations in all weather conditions.
Flight raining will focus on actual instrument conditions or under hood (simulated instrument conditions) in the aircraft to log required instrument hours and procedures
Execute instrument-rated cross-country flights for meeting IFR requirements.

Plan and execute longer cross-country flights as required for the commercial pilot standard, focusing on advanced planning and decision-making.
Learn the privileges of a Commercial certificate and how to apply those in the future and problem solve challenges in aviation

Months 9-12

CFI and Multi-Engine

Start training in multi-engine aircraft, focusing on the complexities of managing multiple engines, advanced aircraft systems, and emergency procedures for multi-engine operations.
Continue to build flight hours, focusing on multi-engine time to meet the qualifications needed for commercial multi-engine operations.
You may opt to pursue additional ratings such as tailwheel, high-performance, or complex aircraft endorsements - Only at P&N where we have all of these resources!
